HARRIETT A. HANDSHAW, a Registered Nurse, joined our firm's legal team on July 1, 2006. Harriet's nursing background included 21 years in acute care, primarily in the areas of critical care and emergency settings, with additional experience in pharmaceutical, device research and elder patient care. Harriett has since pursued a career as a legal nurse, with over six years experience at a local prominent law firm where she reviewed and analyzed medical records from a variety of healthcare sources including hospital, outpatient clinic, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities. Following an extensive, accredited program of study and examination, and rigorous practical training, Harriett enhanced her nursing specialization and credentials by achieving recognition as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant in 2007. Harriett assists our defense team with assessment of medical and personal injury case files, including medical records review, deposition and expert preparation and other appropriate tasks. Harriett's extensive nursing and legal background serves to enhance the quality of this firm's legal representation of its healthcare and environmental law clients.
